Demolition Firm Repeats Safety Feat

London, United Kingdom, June 03, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For the second year running demolition contractor, Clifford Devlin, has received a Gold Award, the highest available, from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The achievement is a demonstration of the Company’s commitment to the health and safety of its workforce who are involved in one of the more dangerous disciplines of the construction industry.

Clifford Devlin’s Health and Safety Manager, Paul Clarke-Scholes commented:
“We are delighted to be honoured with another gold award. We regard it as an endorsement of the systematic approach we have taken to health and safety at Clifford Devlin which has enabled us to implement a culture of safety throughout the organisation.”

The certificate was presented to Paul Clarke-Scholes at a presentation ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, in May 2009.

The RoSPA awards scheme has recognised commitment to occupational health and safety since 1956. Applicants are required to complete and submit a questionnaire and key supporting documentation upon which they are assessed.

Clifford Devlin’s OH&S system was certificated against international standard OHSAS 18001 in 2008.
