)-- Daniel Tschirret, Founder and Chairman of Multinational Brands®, Inc., the world’s largest fitness promotion and the parent company of the Muscle Beach® fitness club chain, announced today that their Muscle Beach® brand will sponsor a series of events this summer at Muscle Beach, Venice, California. Scheduled to commence on Memorial Day weekend, the shows will run right through Labor Day.
The Muscle Beach Military National Powerlifting Championship will take place on Saturday, May 23rd. The event will be followed by the Muscle Beach Powerlifting Championships on Sunday, May 24th. The weekend of competition will conclude with both the Muscle Beach Armed Forces Bodybuilding Championships and Muscle Beach International Classic on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th.
Later in the summer, on July 4th, their Muscle Beach® fitness club chain will sponsor the Mr. & Ms. Muscle Beach. The date not only represents the contest itself, but what is expected to be the largest celebration the fitness industry has ever seen. The epic event will mark the historic 75th anniversary of legendary Muscle Beach, world renowned as The Birthplace Of Fitness®. A gala event is planned, which will include representatives from all walks of the fitness industry, dignitaries, celebrities, and inductees from the Muscle Beach Hall Of Fame. The season will wrap up on Labor Day, September 7th, with the Muscle Beach Bodybuilding Championships.
The events, which take place outdoors right on Muscle Beach, are open to the pubic and admission is free. The shows have consistently drawn some of the state’s highest tourist attraction attendance figures.
According to Tschirret, events like these are an effective tool for building club membership. “Many fitness franchisors institute an advertising fee. Unfortunately, most will misuse these funds to acquire more franchisees, rather than to drive traffic to their existing franchisees. Our number one concern is to increase membership at our clubs by supporting events that attract the general public and get them involved in fitness.”
