"Integrating the Fragmented Soul" is the Focus of Why Shamanism Now? Radio Show on June 10

In an episode titled “Integrating the Fragmented Soul,” teacher, author, and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt talks to shamanic practitioner Martin Brennan on Pratt’s show "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity."

Portland, OR, June 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Streaming live on the Voice America Network (www.voiceamerica.com) on Wednesday, June 10 at 2 p.m. Pacific time/5 p.m. Eastern time, on the show "Why Shamanism Now?", Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing founder Christina Pratt and shamanic practitioner Martin Brennan talk about how we all experience soul loss throughout our lives.

According to Pratt and Brennan, soul loss is caused by physical or emotional trauma, and it is a natural way for us to survive the pain of that trauma. In shamanic cultures, when soul loss is recognized, the shaman is called on to enter the invisible world, find the lost soul parts and to retrieve them. However today, the integration of retrieved soul parts doesn’t just happen by itself.

Guest Martin Brennan has integrated numerous soul parts retrieved by our host, shaman Christina Pratt, over the past 10 year. Pratt and Brennan discuss the personal healing issues that integration of soul parts address, ranging from attempted suicide, to chronic issues with intimacy, to a separation from God, and much more. They ask the questions: How do you address issues today that amount to the most painful, frightening moments of your life? Why is it that addressing these moments brings you into Wholeness and Oneness-with-all-Things? On this episode of “Why Shamanism Now?”, Pratt and Brennan explore with humor and awe the healing work of soul integration.

Christina Pratt is an authentic, non-traditional contemporary shaman. In practice since 1990, she specializes in mending the soul and transforming the parts of life that feel impossible. A teacher of exceptional clarity, humor, and inspiration, Pratt brings the power of shamanism into the practical grasp of anyone willing to take responsibility for improving the quality of their life. Her well-received book, An Encyclopedia of Shamanism (Rosen), is an 800 page, two-volume set with over 750 in-depth entries that clearly discuss the basic concepts of shamanism, methods, and traditions of over 50 different shamanic peoples. Pratt is the founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing in Portland, OR, and New York, NY, creator of the original Foundations of Shamanism and Shamanic Healing course at the University of Minnesota, and a frequent and honored speaker for the American Holistic Medical Association.

Martin Brennan Martin possesses a deep commitment to helping people (including himself) remember how to feed their love, starve their fears, and live boldly, and has studied spirituality and leadership for over 20 years.
