jTask, Inc. Launches jSTAS Version 3.0

Security and Training Assignment mapping for large ERP projects is significantly improved -- both in speed and accuracy. Much better than sharing thousands of user data points using lots of spreadsheets.

Palo Alto, CA, June 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- jTask today announced the launch of its latest version of jSTAS (Security and Training Assignment System) -- a web-based solution to enable businesses going through an SAP implementation or upgrade to rapidly assign and track end-user security roles and training in preparation for Go-live. New features allow business project team members to add additional Profile information to an End-users account security profile to reduce post go-live help desk calls.

jSTAS significantly improves accuracy of the SAP end-user role mapping process, to ensure that, at Go-live, end-users on a project have the correct roles assigned and required training completed. When compared to the effectiveness more manual, iterative methods – such as emailing spreadsheets or printouts – project teams using jSTAS experience improved accuracy and enhanced productivity.

In addition, since the system is web-based, the business, not just the project team, has direct ownership of the complex and critical task of mapping end-users. User IDs are recorded and time stamps applied at the mapping, management approval and role owner approval steps. Available on demand, preconfigured, web-based reports provide visibility into what positions and training have been assigned to individual users or users under a particular manager.

Lead jTask consultant Mario Cristiani says, "By improving the speed and accuracy of mapping of end-users to SAP roles and requisite training, jSTAS drastically reduces the number of training-related help desk incidents at Go-live."

jSTAS is easily customizable for a customer’s specific organization. Customer-specific job positions are set up with name, description, security roles and required and optional training courses, by means of an easy-to-use interface. Preconfigured web screens, back end database tables, and reports are all available for speedy setup and implementation.

A critical step in the setup of jSTAS at a client site is establishing links to the customer’s human resource directory and Learning Management System [LMS]. Without this capability, someone on the project team would have to transfer across the employee data, potentially compromising security and inevitably changes in the employee roster or job roles would cause problems throughout the mapping process.

The data created by jSTAS is optimized for easy and speedy integration into SAP GRC applications and Corporate Learning Management systems that may be audited for SOX compliance. LMS integration provides quick and timely project reporting to automatically track training targets and completion during the End-User training period as well as the ability to validate training completion before provisioning of security roles.
