Fourth of July Retail Trunk Shows at Santa Barbara’s Bacara Resort & Spa

The So De Mel trunk show will be held at Bacara’s Spa Shop on Saturday, July 4, 2009, 10AM-4PM. “Sonia De Mello will help you select the ideal bikini or one piece from her classically sexy swimwear collection. There’s something to be said for having the designer’s assistance in the dressing room. Sonia knows which of her pieces will work on your body,” says Easterday. “It’s also nice to support local talent. Sonia hails from Brazil, but she calls Santa Barbara home now.”
The Safia Jewelry Trunk Show will also take place on Saturday, July 4, 2009, only in Bacara’s Luxury Boutique, 10:00AM-6:00PM. Safia’s slightly ethnic creations, made from precious and semi-precious stones, are often seen in fashion magazines and on the red carpet. Pointing out the benefits of having the designer present when shopping, Easterday says, “If a guest loves a piece, but it’s too long, Safia will graciously alter it.”
Shopping for something other than swimwear or jewelry? The Luxury Boutique offers everything from day-casual jeans and tops to more glamorous evening styles. The Boutique’s look can best be described as New York City chic meets California beach bohemian. It’s sophisticated yet sexy, edgy but not over the top.
