Obama Campaign Jewelry Selected by Smithsonian Museum

Colorado jewelry designer Heide Schmaltz Lasher has been selected for inclusion in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Two of her rhinestone pins will also be on display and sale in the gift shop.

Englewood, CO, June 17, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Obama campaign jewelry designed by Heide Schmaltz Lasher has been selected for inclusion in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C, and will also be on display for sale to the public in the Smithsonian Museum gift shop.

Heide Schmaltz Lasher designed and marketed a very unique rhinestone “Obama Hope” pin, introduced at last summer’s Democratic National Convention in Denver. The “Obama Hope” rhinestone pin was approved for sale by the Obama for America campaign last summer and has been acknowledged by “thank you” letters from both Michelle and then candidate Barack Obama.

Two of Schmaltz Lasher’s lapel pin designs will be included in the Political History Collection of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History. The pin became one of the most unique and collectible momentos of the campaign due to its design and quality presentation of the now famous Obama Hope logo.

Heide Lasher and her partner Ken Toltz set up a 16th Street Mall vendor booth during last summer’s DNC Convention, created and maintain an ecommerce website and also sold the pins directly to supporters at Obama’s Colorado campaign events.

The Colorado Democratic Party featured Schmaltz Lasher’s rhinestone pins at its Inaugural Balls in Denver and Washington, D.C.
