Farmani Gallery PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris

Los Angeles, CA, June 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- PX3’s Essence of Water opening reception was a true success. The opening reception was held on Thursday, June 18 at the Farmani Gallery in Brooklyn, New York in the DUMBO neighborhood. From New York locals to the PX3 Water winners themselves, Farmani Gallery was packed. The exhibition featured an array of photographs that were all centralized around the theme of water; they were all so different, but came together wonderfully.

Among those in attendance was photographers, John Trotter and Alison Jones who took the time to mingle amongst the crowd and to speak about the inspirations behind their projects. All the artists were very pleased and excited with how the exhibit turned out, a sentiment that seemed to be shared by all at the opening reception on Thursday night. Ms. Leslie Arlette Boyce, artist and current featured photographer for the International Photography Awards Spotlight for March had this to say, “I am very critical of my work and others, but this show is beautiful”. Curator, Susan Baraz, was also there to tell those around us about her experience in curating this show.

The Essence of Water Showcase will be exhibited until June 27, 2009. PX3 strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris.
