EduKick Soccer Boarding School Students Face Off Against Olympic Soccer Team

EduKick students recently hit the pitch with the Qatar U20 Olympic soccer team

Oakville, Ontario, Canada, June 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- EduKick students recently hit the pitch with the Qatar U20 Olympic soccer team. EduKick France year-long soccer players Mason Hampel, Jessie Fuller, Connor Nightingale and Amine Belkhouche joined the French Riviera “Selection” squad for this training match.

This high-level game kicked off a 10-day training camp in Cannes for the Qatar team, helping them prepare for the U20 International Tournament in Toulon.

The Toulon tournament showed very strong teams participating from France, Holland, Argentina, Chile, Egypt, Emirates and Portugal, so preparation for Qatar was crucial.

"It was a real test for our EduKick France players, holding their own against Olympic soccer players," said Joey Bilotta, owner of EduKick. "All the work they had put in over the last nine months paid off in an exciting game."

EduKick soccer boarding school players showed impressive skill throughout the game, each playing about 60 minutes of the 90-minute game.

At the end of the first half, it was 1 - 0 to the Qatar Olympic squad. EduKick France staff said the game could have been much different if the French Riviera squad had taken advantage of the openings they created.

In the second half of the game, the Olympic-level fitness and higher level of play from the Qatar Olympic squad began to show as they scored three more goals to end with the final score at 4 - 0.

"This was a great way for our players to cap their EduKick international soccer boarding school experience," said Bilotta. "We're extremely proud of them."

Deadline to register for EduKick soccer boarding schools in England, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Canada and Mexico is July 31.
