Loft Digital Designs Vibrant New Website to Launch SaniPost to the UK

London’s Loft Digital has launched the website for SaniPost (www.sanipost.co.uk), a new hand sanitiser unit and unique outdoor advertising platform, designed and manufactured by Nettoyer Media. The project took just three weeks to complete, from brief to launch, with the final design inspiring a new identity for the brand that has since been taken across printed and corporate materials.

London, United Kingdom, June 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Loft was approached by Nettoyer Media to design, build and launch the website to coincide with the launch of SaniPost in May this year. The existing site didn’t fit with the various objectives for the brand, nor did it capture the interest of the three different audiences the company needed to appeal to: venues, brands and consumers.

SaniPost is a free-standing, environmentally friendly unit that offers a convenient hand-cleaning service to the public, without any need for water or paper towels. Hands are simply placed into the unit, which contains a sensor operated device, and the unit dispenses the hand-cleaning foam automatically, with no need for buttons or levers. The foam itself is alcohol and scent free and dissolves within seconds. Users rub the foam into their hands and within 10 seconds have germ-free, clean hands. It kills 99.9% of germs, is safe for all to use, including children, and is completely free to the public. The unit also has three panels at eye level that are used for advertising.

The website needed to communicate the benefits of installing the units to venues, such as shopping centers, entertainment/ leisure venues, train stations etc. It also needed to create a desire for consumers to use the facility. Finally, and key to Nettoyer Media, it needed to speak to brands and communicate the potential of advertising on the unit.

The Loft team looked at the overall appeal of the product and combined this with research into other outdoor media platforms. This helped to position SaniPost in a more desirable way, showing it to be a quality, useful product to the public and a unique advertising platform for brands. There is much appeal to ‘families’ and this comes across in the fresh, young branding and typography used in the identity. The website - fully content managed by Nettoyer Media using Loft’s own CMS system, Matchbox - is a strong marketing tool for Nettoyer Media’s sales team. A simple, clear focus on facts with strong imagery helps to communicate key benefits quickly.

Nick Nettleton, Director at Loft Digital said "It's really exciting to get on board with a project like this at such an early stage. SaniPost is new idea in the UK, but health is high on the public agenda, and in the future we can expect to see SaniPosts as standard in all public areas. In the next phase we'll be looking at ways to use the internet to increase people's awareness of how germs are transferred in public, and how important it is to keep your hands clean."

Warren Edmondson, MD of Nettoyer Media, added “From day one the Loft team understood my needs and were able to apply their technical knowledge and creative abilities to deliver exactly what we needed. The design element was so strong that it made sense to take this across our brand identity, something we hadn’t planned at the outset. We’re continuing to work with them on the next stage of developments.”

The next stage will include animations, live stats for advertisers, interactive maps and a whole host of other widgets to make the site a far more intuitive sales tool for Nettoyer Media.
