Sustainable Now Technologies Appoint Chief Operations Officer

Algae Bio-Reactor Manufacturer, Sustainable Now Technologies, officially recognizes Nathan Morrison as Chief of Operations.

Los Angeles, CA, June 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sustainable Now Technologies Inc. (SNT), an alternative energies technology manufacturer, called a press conference late Wednesday evening to announce the appointment of their Chief of Operations.

SNT’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric Woolery, began the presentation by summarizing the history of Bio-Reactor development. “One of the core issues holding back exponential algae growth over the past 50 years, has been light distribution. Scientists have found that sunlight, once algae has begun to grow, does not penetrate the medium of water for sufficient growth to occur deeper than about 2 inches. There are several other major obstacles to overcome in the industrialization process, and these challenges require the emerging California Green Tech Industry to come up with real solutions on a realistic timetable.”

“Over the past several years, one engineer in particular has taken these vital steps, and has demonstrated new Bio-Reactor technology that overcomes these previous conversion limitations,” Woolery states. “Sustainable Now Technologies is fortunate to begin operations at the top of the current bio-technology spectrum, thanks to the expertise in construction and design implemented by our new Chief of Operations, Mr. Nathan Morrison, and his experiences in design collaboration with the pioneering inventor, Steven Shigematsu.”

Nathan Morrison began his mechanical engineering career in the entertainment industry, designing and constructing integrated mechanized sets for Live Theatre productions. In late 2007, Morrison was approached by Steven Shigematsu, then lead inventor for Origin Oil, who invited him turn his engineering skills toward the Bio-Fuels Industry. Working from the Shigematsu/Eckleberry patent concept design, Mr. Morrison developed the Helix Bio-Reactor for Origin Oil in 2008. This initial Bio-Reactor has become a foundation for algae research, which debuted at the National Algae Association Conference (2008), catapulting Morrison’s work to the forefront of the Bio-Fuel Industry.

With the passing of Steven Shigematsu in October of 2008, the Helix Bio-Reactor program at Origin Oil shifted to focus on the carbon capture potential for large-scale municipalities such as waste treatment sewage-plants. Mr. Morrison, more interested in ‘Algae to Bio-Diesel’ applications, sought to continue the work of Shigematsu by creating functional technologies capable of bringing renewable algae fuel into the consumer market. As the Chief Engineer, Morrison continues his pioneering research at SNT by searching for the future low-energy solution to packaging Algae Oil for private consumer use.

“We are all indebted to the research collaboration of these two progressive engineers, Morrison and Shigematsu,” Woolery continued. “In joining SNT, Mr. Morrison continues the initial research mandate outlined in Shigematsu’s theories. His research at SNT continues the goal-oriented process towards affordable Bio-Fuel technologies targeted directly for the California consumer.”

Nathan Morrison is a founding member and current stockholder at Origin Oil, as well as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Engineer for Sustainable Now Technologies Inc. Sustainable Now Technologies, founded in 2009, is comprised of members of Steven Shigematsu’s Research & Development Team. SNT's ‘Green Machines Laboratory’ was established on the sustainable concepts and enduring memory of Shigematsu. Sustainable Now Technologies’ primary design mandate is to develop a replicate-able, isolated, high-efficiency ‘Algae to Bio-Diesel’ delivery systems for laboratory, commercial and private use.

SNT’s Research & Development Lab is located in Long Beach, CA. Home offices for SNT are located in Los Angeles, CA. For further information on SNT and current developing technologies, please visit: http://www.SustainableNowTechnologies.com
