Ray Mabry Appointed to Lead Santa Rosa Photographers of Worldwide Photowalk

On July 18, 2009 lovers of photography from all over the world will be converging on cities to walk, talk, laugh, take lots of pictures and be inspired by others' digital photography tools and techniques.

Santa Rosa, CA, June 27, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Photo walk is a social photography event where photographers get together, usually in a downtown area or trendy section of town to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers.

Ray Mabry will be leading the Santa Rosa California group through historical landmarks in downtown Santa Rosa. His group will be touring such places as the Luther Burbank Gardens where famed American botanist, horticulturist and pioneer Luther Burbank once lived. There's also the Santa Rosa train depot. It was built in 1904, on the Northwestern Pacific Railroad line, to replace another depot which had burnt down. The depot appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt, which was shot on location in Santa Rosa.

From there the group will travel through the Hyatt and out the back doors to the sculpture garden. They'll cross the Memorial Greenway over the footbridge to Olive Park.

Space is limited to only 50 photographers for this event. To reserve your spot (it's free) contact Ray at ray@rmabryphotography.com or leave a comment for him on his blog at blog.rmabryphotography.com
