NACUBO and Unimarket Announce the Campus Business Portal, the Next Generation Buyer’s Directory for National Colleges and Universities

NACUBO and Unimarket announce partnership to develop the NACUBO Campus Business Portal, the next generation buyer’s directory for NACUBO’s membership to easily identify and access the suppliers they need for campus needs.

Boston, MA, June 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Today, NACUBO, the National Association of College and University Business Officers, and Unimarket, a global provider of web-based eProcurement solutions to the education market space, announced the forging of an exclusive partnership to develop the next generation buyer’s directory for the nation’s college and university chief business officers. Slated for release by Fall 2009, NACUBO’s members will have at their disposal a comprehensive, information rich and interactive online resource to access when they are seeking suppliers of goods and services to meet their campus needs.

The business officers of today’s colleges and universities are faced with daunting challenges to cost-effectively equip their campuses with the goods and services needed to run these complex enterprises, particularly as revenue sources have been severely impacted by the economy. The NACUBO Campus Business Portal, to be powered by the Unimarket software on demand solution, will be one more tool to help campus business officers quickly locate and source qualified providers that serve the higher education market.

“It is our joint goal to have all the meaningful local and national providers of campus needs as a front end to the Unimarket eProcurement system, easily searchable by the business officers and their staffs at no cost to our members” said Bill Dillon, chief financial officer and senior vice president of NACUBO. Dillon reports that solution providers will be able to construct a basic listing for free and can upgrade to more value-added listings within a modest annual fee schedule.

Kurt Black, President of Unimarket, states that “We’re excited about this partnership and look forward to building this extension of our Global Supplier Network to enable NACUBO to offer even more value to its member institutions.”
