Lavendon Access Services Invests in New Fleet of Service Vans
Lutterworth, United Kingdom, July 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Lavendon Access Services is keeping customers working safely at height through its unrivalled mobile engineering service available across the UK, having recently invested in a brand new fleet of support vehicles for its Nationwide Platforms, Panther and Skylift businesses. East Midlands Vehicle Hire secured the contract to provide 162 vans for Lavendon Access Services, the UK’s largest powered access rental business.
The key points Lavendon Access Services considered when choosing from the
companies that tendered were choice & size of vehicle, safety features, fuel efficient engines, door options (for accessing parts and tools), running costs, lead time and price. Volkswagen offered the best options in two different sizes, namely the ‘Caddy’ and the larger ‘Transporter’.
All vans were supplied ‘ready to roll’ in full livery with reflective rear chevrons, complete with accessories such as racking, tool and part boxes/shelves, safety equipment such as rotating beacons and mobile phone kits. The fleet is also supported by a 24/7 hour a day, 365 days a year driver support service.
East Midlands Vehicle Hire Sales Director, David Grantham commented: “East Midlands Vehicle Hire is delighted to continue a partnership with Lavendon Access Services, renewing the existing fleet of vehicles and increasing business levels with a further 50 units. Both the 1.9Tdi Transporter and 1.9Tdi Caddy have as standard, side and rear loading doors, full height bulkhead, are fitted with alarms, air conditioning and electric windows, and the appearance and versatility of these vehicles reflect the way in which Lavendon Access Services continues to operate.”
