Small Dallas-Based Company Breaks Hollywood Barrier; Air Charter Guru "Goes to the Dogs"
Dallas, TX, July 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- When Walt Disney studios recently hired Dallas-based, Air Charter Guru to fly dozens of dogs to Mexico to film Beverly Hills Chihuahua it showed that one small company can break the Hollywood barrier. According to 'head guru', Jeff Alan, “For many years, my company, Air Charter Guru has quietly and quickly moved freight and personnel, but flying puppy personnel was a welcome first. But like most of our flights that charter was a piece of biscuit.”
Since the first Beverly Hills Chihuahua collected $200 million, its sequel will soon follow, yippee, or is that yappy? But one burning question remains: will Air Charter Guru fly pampered pooches to the set of the upcoming Beverly Hills Chihuahua sequel? According to Mike Philbeck who heads the Disney Aviation group, the upcoming, talking dog sequel will be filmed in Los Angeles, limousines not Lear jets, will have to suffice.
While the entertainment industry is notoriously demanding when Air Charter Guru flew precious pups not one single Chihuahua was harmed in its transport. Asking Alan to reveal what it’s like to do business with a behemoth, (as Disney owns its own jets and does not typically outsource its air charter needs), with nonchalance Alan said, “You may groan, but we showed Walt Disney studios that Air Charter Guru is ready for its close-up”.
It may be difficult to know whether Hollywood favorably responds to Air Charter Guru’s light hearted logline “Air Charter Guru: Be Enlightened!” or to its founder’s irreverent approach, but Air Charter Guru enjoys more entertainment industry encounters (Food Network’s, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) continuing to move the movie industry anywhere, anytime.
