Randy "The Natural" Couture will host "Natural Understanding," a V.I.P. event and raffle to benefit the Autism Society of Oregon.

Portland, OR, July 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- UFC Legend Randy Couture Fights Nogueira and Autism.

Randy "The Natural" Couture will host “Natural Understanding”, a V.I.P. event and raffle to benefit the Autism Society of Oregon.

Five-time UFC champion, Randy Couture will fight Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and autism the same night. On Saturday, August 29, 2009, Couture will fight at the first Portland UFC event and following the fight he will host a V.I.P. fundraising event called “Natural Understanding” to benefit the Autism Society of Oregon. The fundraiser will be held at the Marriott Downtown Portland hotel.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. PST and will include a live raffle drawing. The grand prize is Randy Couture's personal custom UFC Hummer. The raffle proceeds will be donated to the Autism Society of Oregon. The ASO is a non-profit chapter of the Autism Society of America. It's mission is to empower individuals with autism, their families and service providers to improve the quality of their lives through support and information. The event will also include live entertainment and a full buffet. Randy Couture will also host a private brunch on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Marriott Downtown Portland hotel for a limited number of guests.

Randy Couture is a former long-time Oregon resident and has been personally touched by autism. A close family friend’s son, Ladd, was diagnosed with autism four years ago. Randy has watched and supported Ladd fight the effects and challenges he struggles with daily. Autism is a developmental disorder that affects an individual’s ability to socialize and communicate. Randy is so honored to be able to support such a cause, especially in his hometown.
