Boston, MA, July 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Internationally-known disability advocate Joni Eareckson Tada will speak at Park Street Church in downtown Boston on Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12, as part of the church’s year-long Bicentennial Celebration. The newly renovated church is wheelchair accessible, and volunteers will be on hand to assist visitors with disabilities.

On Saturday from 1:00 to 2:15pm, Mrs. Tada will address the topic of ministering to and with people with disabilities. There also will be special music and a program from Joni and Friends Greater Boston.

On Sunday, Mrs. Tada will present a message entitled “Life is Hard But God is Good” at the 11:00am, 4:00pm, and 6:00pm worship services. About her message, she remarks, “In a world filled with so much pain and affliction, skeptics and cynics are not the only ones questioning the goodness of God. Christians, as never before, are struggling to understand how a good God could allow so much senseless suffering. Exactly what is the relationship between our daily heartaches and hardships and the God of the Bible?...and frankly, can He be trusted?”

Joni’s talks at Park Street are free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

More information about Joni’s visit may be found at www.parkstreet.org/journey, including directions about wheelchair accessibility and ASL translation for the day. For details about the church’s disabilities ministry, Enable Boston, visit www.parkstreet.org/disabilities.
