Los Angeles, CA, July 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The August World Healing Ceremony, sponsored by the Spiritual Unity Movement (SUM), will be presented at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, at “The Onion” sacred dome 9550 Haskell Ave. in North Hills (near the I-405 and Nordoff). SUM is an all-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating the truth that exists at the heart of all faith traditions.

The theme for the month will be Living as Divine Love with Vaishali as the keynote speaker on Celebrating Our Spiritual Identity as Divine Love. As on Oprah & Friends XM, Vaishali is the author of Wisdom Rising (Purple Haze Press 2008) and You Are What You Love (Purple Haze Press 2006). She is also national health & wellness speaker, radio host on Clear Channel’s KTLK (greater Los Angeles & Santa Barbara) Saturdays 11-12 noon PST KEST (San Francisco) and Contact Talk Radio (Seattle). During her twenties and thirties Vaishali suffered from a vast array of emotional and medical problems, including a terminal diagnosis two times, domestic abuse and financial devastation. Her astonishing and complete recovery of the mind, body and spirit gave her the unique ability to make Universal big picture wisdom relevant to the average person’s everyday life and relationships.

The special ceremonial music will be presented by Mark & Sherie. Mark Alciati and Sherie Davis, both singer-songwriters, only recently started blending their unique musical styles together. Mark Alciati has been writing songs since the age of 10, and his music has been described as strong, powerful, thought-provoking, insightful, beautiful, catchy, and hilarious. Sherie Davis has been writing songs since 2003, and her songs have been described as joy-filled, uplifting, spiritual, lyrical, and from a source deep within. Mark plays many instruments including the guitar, mandolin, ukelele, and cajon, and Sherie plays the flute and the guitar. Together, they have created a unique and visionary musical duo to assist in raising the vibration of this planet.

The president of SUM, Patrick Harbula, says that the organization encourages people from all religious and philosophical backgrounds to link together in unified spiritual service through the practice of prayer and meditation. Harbula says, “Imagine all the religions of the world praying together for world healing and harmony. We are at a crucial time in our planetary history when it is not only possible but essential to go beyond the belief systems that separate various spiritual paths to the heart of spiritual service where we find unity.”
