Greener Pastures for Seniors Announces Its 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Colfax, NC, July 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Greener Pastures for Seniors, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting homebound patients, announces its 8th annual Charity Golf Tournament. The charity golf tournament will be held at the Maple Leaf Golf Course on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at 8:00 A.M. with a welcome breakfast.

The 8th annual charity golf tournament is a captain’s choice handicap format. Contest rewards include a $10,000 cash prize for a hole in one, sponsored by Columbia Panel Manufacturing (http://www.columbiapanel.com) based in High Point, NC, and cash prizes for 1–4 place winners. This year’s event will be followed by a luncheon and awards ceremony.

Teresa Wilhelm, President of Greener Pastures for Seniors stated “last year’s tournament raised over $5,000 which was used to expand services to more homebound patients in Guilford County, purchase computer equipment and develop marketing materials.“ Wilhelm added “last year we had a very positive turn out of 27 teams from around the triad and are hopeful to have a great response this year”.

This year’s event is expect to generate $8,000 which is earmarked to provide continued support in forming collaborating partnerships with physicians, the purchase of medical equipment and improve systems and technology for enhanced patient services.

Dr. Henry Tripp of Physicians Home Visits (http://www.myhomevisits.com) added “Greener Pastures provides a much needed service for the growing population of seniors who need primary in–home care visits.” Dr. Tripp added “I am pleased to be part of its network of partners and physicians who donate time to this exceptional organization“.

Wilhelm continued, “We have a growing population of seniors who are home-bound and require full time assistance. Families depend on our services and corporate sponsorships to continue to provide in-home care for this community. We have had tremendous growth over the past several years and have received such incredible community support. For that we are very thankful”.
