Captain Jack at thecentre:mk Will Get You All of a Twitter

Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, July 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- With only one week to go until the opening of “Pirates of thecentre:mk: Shipwrecked at our Seaside” on July 22, Captain Jack has launched himself onto the digital waves with his Facebook & Twitter pages. Captain Jack’s facebook page contains information about himself and his preparations, provides videos of him before he arrives in thecentre:mk and both the facebook and twitter sites will provide exclusive competitions throughout the summer.

Launched on the 30 June to a select group, ‘CaptainJack Atthecentremk’ facebook page has been placing regular updates, whilst the twitter site ‘CaptainJackMK’ has the more immediate thoughts from Captain Jack and his crew. Both sites were set up with the aim of Captain Jack communicating directly with the public throughout summer, including images and videos; also Captain Jack hopes to run some exclusive competitions through his facebook account.

“I have to move with the times,” commented Captain Jack from his ship. “Pirating isn’t all about swashing buckles and shivering timbers. My show in Middleton Hall is in 3-D so I’m also branching out into the online world whilst at thecentre:mk my pirates will be updating Facebook, Twitter, I’ll be doing weekly video blogs, and we’ll run online competitions...the possibilities are endless.

To get involved, just sign up to my facebook and twitter accounts. In the meantime I look forward to seeing everyone in Middleton Hall at thecentre:mk.”

110 tons of sand which will be shipped in to Middleton Hall to create, what is hoped to be, the largest indoor beach in the UK for children to play in whilst the adults relax in deckchairs – all without the worry of the British weather. The central attraction will be a first for a shopping centre, “Captain Jack’s 3-D Film show” – an underwater adventure for children. Wearing 3-D spectacles the children will be able to search for buried treasure in the ocean depths with Captain Jack, meeting his fishy friends in an environment which is truly brought to life with state-of- the-art technology.

If you visit www.thecentremk.com you can now book online for Captain Jack’s 3-D adventure to avoid any disappointment. The summer show opens on the 22 of July.
