New York, NY, July 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Remmey Antiques’ International Summer Sale is a Multi-Consigner Estate Sale of Fine Jewelry, Fine Silver, Photos, Rare Books and Maps. Featured in this auction are a number of historic maps and prints, including a Celestial Map by Petrus Schenk & Gerardum Valk, entitled Scenographia Mundane, as well as two maps by John Speede, circa 1660-2, depicting the cartography of France and Scotland.

Other highlights of the auction include a collection of books on the history of aviation. Works include famous aviators and scientists such as Alexander Graham Bell, Wilbur Wright, Henry Woodhouse, and Charles Fontaine, as well as an autographed aviation program from Souvenier Aeronautic, Atlantic city, circa 1920.

This diverse auction also includes some very important photographic works, including photographs by Imogen Cunningham, W. Eugene Smith, Albert Arthur Allen, Man Ray, Eugene Atget, Harry Callaghan, and Eudora Welty. Seventeen lots of antique silver items complete this auction.
