Torrance, CA, July 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Aerospace Players presentation of “Brigadoon” opens to record-breaking audiences.

The Aerospace Players brought magic alive this past weekend with the hit musical, “Brigadoon” at the James Armstrong Theatre in Torrance to a record-breaking number of viewers. This year’s performance of “Brigadoon” set a new record for the largest single-show audience with a sold-out matinee on Sunday. The show also set a new club record for the largest opening weekend in club history, previously held by South Pacific in 2007. "In its first weekend, “Brigadoon” has drawn larger audiences than any other show in the 20 year history of The Aerospace Players, including a sold-out Sunday matinee,” said director Chuck Gustafson.

“Brigadoon” has been well-received by audience members. The show is fun for all ages and is a magical escape into the misty highlands of Scotland. Director Chuck Gustafson is pleased with the performance so far, "audience reaction to Brigadoon has been terrific! I've gotten lots of compliments from individual audience members saying that this is one of TAPs best shows. I’m really pleased with the cast’s level of performance!" With a stunning orchestra, beautifully-detailed sets, and a talented cast, “Brigadoon” is a magical summer hit filled with memorable music and dance including a live sword fight.

“Brigadoon” continues on Thursday July 23rd at 7pm, and Friday and Saturday July 24th and 25th at 8pm at the Armstrong Theater, 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, CA 90503. Tommy is torn between staying or, as Jeff is encouraging him, going back to his hectic life in New York. Songs include Almost Like Being in Love, The Heather on the Hill, The Love Of My Life, I'll Go Home with Bonnie Jean and Waitin' for My Dearie.
