Englewood Senior Wins NJCTS Scholarship

New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome Awards 2009 Children's Scholarship to Benjamin Miller

Somerville, NJ, July 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Benjamin Miller is a recipient of the 2009 New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome's 2009 Children's Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Miller, who graduated from the Dwight-Englewood School in May, was selected for his academic achievement, community service and accomplishments as an individual with Tourette Syndrome.

Miller served as National/International Affairs Section Editor of his school newspaper (Spectrum); played guitar and bass in the Jazz-Rock Ensemble; competed as a discus, javelin and shot put thrower; wrote for the Dwight-Englewood literary magazine; served as an assistant teacher for religious education and worked as a counselor at URJ Joseph Eisner Camp.

NJCTS congratulates Benjamin Miller on his achievements and wishes him continued success in his academic and career endeavors. The NJCTS Children's Scholarship Award is given to outstanding high school seniors in the state of New Jersey who have excelled in their schools and communities in the face of living with Tourette Syndrome.
