Best-Selling Author to Reunite Families and Mend Pockets of Struggling New Jersey Halfway House

Best-selling Internet marketing author, Larry Bailin, will donate all proceeds for the month of Amazon.com to New Jersey halfway house, Freedom House.

Wall, NJ, August 05, 2009 --(PR.com)-- This month, best-selling Internet marketing author, and CEO of Single Throw Internet Marketing, Larry Bailin, will help ease the financial burdens of Freedom House, a New Jersey drug and alcohol treatment center. The event goes hand-in-hand with the second edition of Bailin’s renowned marketing book, Mommy Where Do Customers Come From?, which will be released in early August. Hoping to replenish the purses of the local halfway house, Bailin is teaming up with Amazon.com. For the month of August, all of the book’s proceeds from Amazon.com will be donated to Freedom House.

Freedom House is a residential addiction treatment center located in Glen Gardner, NJ. The halfway house provides NJ men and women who are dependent on drugs and alcohol a second chance: the ability to re-enter the world addiction free. For women, this often includes reuniting them will their families and helping them to steadily regain custody of their children. According to Fred Reihl, President and CEO of Freedom House, the ability to reunite women with their children is a major asset of the program that helps prevent relapse. In fact, the Freedom House’s programs, which focuses on the core values of faith, hope and trust, see a 100% success rate for all graduates, and offer many a new life beyond the constraints of addiction.

However, a recent cloud in the economic climate has left Freedom House weathering the storm with broken sails. Donations to the refuge center have dropped by a whopping 70%, leaving many concerned for the fate of the organization’s life-saving programs.

“Our program is highly disciplined, highly structured, and, therefore, highly effective. However, our women’s program is almost entirely dependent on fundraising, and with donations down, we need help financially. With his generosity, Larry is going to virtually help put families back together,” Riehl said.

Bailin’s success in the Internet marketing arena has been nothing short of triumphant. But while professional accolades abound, including a place among the ranks of NJ Biz’s “Top 40 Under 40,” it is Bailin’s generosity and dedication to community service that remain his greatest accomplishments. With the help of Billy, the loving and precocious mascot of Mommy Where Do Customers Come From? Bailin has proven that his book can give back in ways that extend beyond mere marketing tips.

“Billy Gives Back” has become of beacon of hope in the lives of many organizations working to help those in need. When Bailin’s book was first released in 2007, “Billy Gives Back” donated 100% of one week’s profits on Amazon.com to four national charities: the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, and the Special Olympics.

While the results of his first “Billy Gives Back” campaign were effective on a national level, it is this present cry for help from his Jersey roots that ring the loudest for Bailin.

“It thrills me to donate to national organizations that participate in research and further the hopes of finding a cure. But, to see a local organization struggle so much, yet still be able to produce such concrete results, I can’t help but want to get involved in any way I can. I’ve been so moved by the lives and stories of Freedom House graduates, and to be involved in an organization that gives hope to those who thought they had none – that is the greatest reward.”
