Nouveau: Hunk of Burnin' Love

Less like a field trip and more like a night out.

Erie, PA, August 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Erie, PA – Check out the steamy, Eden-like ceramic art of contemporary American studio potter Kurt Weiser at Nouveau, the Erie Art Museum’s newest party series for 20-to-40 somethings, on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the Erie Art Museum Main Gallery, 411 State Street. The party continues at Molly Brannigans, 506 State Street, at 8 p.m. with live music and specials for Nouveau attendees.

Embark on a ceramic journey of your own at the Museum’s Pottery Burn. The Museum’s ClaySpace artists bring the flame to Nouveau – glaze your own pot and have it Raku fired.

Tasty nibblers, donation bar, and live music by Jeremy Quezada and Gene Stovall.

Nouveau, the Erie Art Museum’s party series for young cosmopolitans, feels less like a field trip and more like a night out. Quarterly themes around the Museum’s exhibitions feature live music, unusual tours, off beat encounters with art, tasty nibblers, donation bar . . . and a dose of new.

Nouveau events are free for Erie Art Museum members and $8 for the general public. Young Erie Professionals’ members receive a $2 discount.

The next Nouveau date is set for October 30, 2009.

Nouveau is sponsored by the Erie Times News and PNC Bank. Additional community support is given by Molly Brannigans, Budweiser American Ale, Francis Ford Coppola wine and Capital Wine & Spirits and BOB FM.
