Vancouver, Canada, September 07, 2006 --(PR.com
)-- After unveiling the new prom dress exchange program, Blixd.com has now opened a fundraising program to help support the exchange. At the moment, visitors can make donations to help fund the program and soon, Blixd.com will be offering candles and other sundries in a fundraising event.
With the next school year rapidly approaching, teenagers nationwide will soon be looking for dresses to be donated to them so they can experience high school and proms without the worry of financing their most important school years. These extra curricular activities are important for a well-rounded high school experience. Since most teenage girls would not want to wear the same dress to multiple parties, this is an excellent opportunity to share dresses with others and still minimize the expense of prom.
Donations will be gladly accepted via the Blixd.com website. These donations will be used to help get the word out to schools around the country about the exchange program and to help maintain the website so it can be easily accessible by all teenagers.
Participation in the exchange program is easy and is free for those listing dresses to be exchanged. Dresses listed with the program will be catalogued within the website for a year or until it is requested by another teenager. Girls wishing to request a dress that they have found would cover the administrative and shipping costs which averages about $20.00 per dress. Once they have attended the event they chose the dress for, they would list the dress again for someone else to use.
Besides the availability of dresses, the website will include makeup and hair styling tips, limousine services, and jewelry for their special night. There are also chatrooms for teenagers to give advice and a shopping section for those who want a new dress for their event.

Blixd.com is a website available to teenagers nationwide. Suggestions on improvement or what you would like to see in the future are welcomed comments.
