Follow Four Gay Men on Their Human Rights Battle Through Adoption, Co-Parenting, Surrogacy Fatherhood and the Struggles They Encounter in Everyday Life

Metuchen, NJ, August 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- “Fatherhood Dreams“ has been acquired by Passion River Films for release and is now available for save on Netflix and will hit the street on October 13, 2009. “Fatherhood Dreams” invites people into the day-to-day lives of gay men Scott, Steve, Randy and Drew who have become gay fathers. Their private journeys through fatherhood force them to deal with much larger issues that affect gay fathers, including the legal aspects of surrogacy, the complexity of "open adoption", and the human rights battles concerning the official recognition of LGBT and multi-parent families.

The documentary includes Steve and his co-parenting partners, lesbian mothers Coreen and Wendy, while they are raising two children on an isolated island. The film also follows a surrogate mother expecting Scott's twins and gives the voice to children of gay parents. “Fatherhood Dreams” has been broadcast on WNET/Thirteen - the most watched public television station in the USA, was a National Broadcast in Canada on GLOBAL TV, and was the Official Selection to numerous major LGBT and Human Rights Film Festivals.

“Fatherhood Dreams” gives the issue of gay parenting a human face, truly uncovering the issues that same-sex couples face in their struggle to become parents.
