On her radio show "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity,” teacher, author, and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt focuses on energy cultivation as essential to living well, regardless of the personal path you are on, in the second of her three-part series on “The Basics of Living Well.”

Portland, OR, August 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Streaming live on the Voice America Network (www.voiceamerica.com) on Wednesday, August 26 at 2 p.m. Pacific time/5 p.m. Eastern time, on her show "Why Shamanism Now?", founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt talks about how we are energy beings living in an energy world, whether we are engaged in religion, spirituality, shamanism or just living life. According to Pratt, it all looks physical and solid, but in reality it’s all energy and it’s all connected, which is why cultivation is essential to living well and is the focus of this second installment of Pratt’s “The Basics of Living Well” series.

Pratt states that the human an “energy bucket”. To have the energy to live authentically we need to live in ways that fill the bucket. Chi gong, time in nature, and naps can fill the bucket, while a day that requires you ignore your body, work more than anything else, and drink caffeine to complete it usually empties the bucket. If balancing your day between actions of expression and cultivation weren’t challenging enough, remember that the bucket is also made of energy. Pratt suggests to listeners that energy cultivation requires that we look to the quality of the bucket itself, repairing all leaks and cracks while we keep the bucket full.

Christina Pratt is an authentic, non-traditional contemporary shaman. In practice since 1990, she specializes in mending the soul and transforming the parts of life that feel impossible.
