Ventura, CA, September 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- IT Professional Services (ITPS), a Managed Services Provider (MSP) and computer systems consultancy, announced today that it has been accepted into the Microsoft Online Service Provider and Forefront Online Security for Exchange programs. ITPS is now also a Communications Sector Partner has been granted permission to sell to Qualified Educational End User at a highly discounted price. IT Professional Services and Microsoft signed a Services Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) to seal the deal.

"Being accepted as a Microsoft Online Service Provider is an honor and significant achievement," said Darryl Roberts, President of IT Professional Services. "Being a member of the program gives us the ability to offer services to our customers with a flexible cost structure, pricing stability, and cash flow management."

The Microsoft Services Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) is Microsoft's Software+Service (other wise know as Software as a Service--SaaS) program that enables services providers to license Microsoft products and services on a monthly basis. The program is designed to emulate how service providers do business - providing services on a monthly fee to their end-customers.

According to IT Professional Services' Darryl Roberts, "Being a SPLA Service Provider now enables IT Professional Services to license Microsoft software to our clients for a low monthly fee without the large upfront investment many companies have to incur to license Microsoft products."

"This program fits perfectly with the way we do business," Roberts continued. "Business is moving to an all inclusive Managed Care service where we provide all IT services to customers for one low monthly fee. Instead of just our services, we are now bundling software and hardware into our Managed Care service. A few months ago, we bundled virus and spyware protection into our top-of-the-line Managed Care service. Now instead of our customers having to pay up front for a three-year license for a fixed number of users for spam (junk mail) filtering, we can bundle in Forefront Online Security for Exchange, pay monthly without a long-term commitment or a huge up front cost, and be able to change the number of users of the service any month."

Microsoft Online Services includes web-based productivity solutions for individuals and Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs), including world class, familiar Microsoft enterprise products such as Forefront Online Security for Exchange (formerly known as Exchange Hosted Filtering), Microsoft Exchange (enterprise-class e-mail, calendaring, contacts, and real-time collaboration), Mobile e-mail, Windows SharePoint Services, and Office Communications Server.
