Pleasure Island Caps Off Summer String of USSSA Events with Final Baseball Tournament

The USSSA Gulf Coast Border Wars Baseball Tournament is set for September 12-13, 2009 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

Orange Beach, AL, September 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- After hosting a series of USSSA events – including two highly successful World Series tournaments, the Pleasure Island area will host its final USSSA baseball event for the summer. The USSSA Gulf Coast Border Wars Baseball Tournament is set for September 12th and 13th.

Don’t miss the opportunity to watch more than 20 teams ranging in age from 9 to 14 compete in two days of head to head action. These youth traveled from throughout the Southeast to participate in this tournament at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Play will begin each day at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude around 5:00 p.m.

Admission is $6.00 per day or $10.00 for a weekend pass.

The Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission will welcome these upcoming events: Brett/Robinson Alabama Coastal Triathlon and the new “Tri-It-On” Triathlon (September 19), Perdido Beach Resort Soccer Classic (September 19-20), USTA Alabama League State Tri-Level Championships (September 24-27), Make a Wish Ride for Wishes (October 2-4), 2009 Shrimp Festival Volleyball Invitational (October 9-10) and the USSSA Gulf Coast Baseball Championship (October 10-11).
