Tracey Baran Memorial Auction Now live on iGavel.com until September 30, 2009

iGavel is pleased to present the Tracey Baran Memorial Auction. The auction is ongoing through September 30, 2009 at www.iGavel.com.

New York, NY, September 18, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Tracey Baran was born in 1975 in Bath, a small rural town in western New York State. In 1993, when she arrived in New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts, she began to define and record the story of her life in pictures of herself, her family, and friends, and the rustic landscape of her childhood. Possessing an unusual blend of candor and empathy, her photographs intermingle spontaneously-recorded moments with posed and directed depictions that resonate with intense feeling, a painterly sensibility and her consummate skill as a color printer.

The Tracey Baran Memorial Auction now live on iGavel.com, is in support of The Tracey Baran Award, an annual grant for an emerging female photographer established by the artist’s family and friends.
