Meetings Afloat! is Sponsor for Tampa Bay Fashion Week

Yacht Will be Media Headquarters for 2009 Event.

Redington Beach, FL, September 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Tampa Bay Fashion Week kicks off on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 and MEETINGS AFLOAT!’s primary yacht, “Dolce Vita,” will be “front and center” for the event, serving as the official Media Headquarters for Fashion Week.

The 45’ yacht will be docked on Tampa’s Hillsboro River at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, which is the main site for the Tampa Bay Fashion Week runway shows and designer showcases. As the Media Center, the yacht will be the location where local and industry media covering the event will go to pick up their credentials, obtain press kits from the participating designers and manufacturers and work to file their stories.

Tampa Bay Fashion Week is a 3-day extravaganza of parties, runway fashion shows and private consultations, featuring local fashion designers, manufacturers and fashion-oriented media in the Tampa Bay market. The event begins with a fashion soiree on Wednesday, September 23rd at the Sheraton Riverwalk. On Thursday and Friday evenings, the Sheraton Riverwalk will host runway shows that will showcase the clothing designs of local and regional designers such as Adjanys Marrero, Audrey "Pat" McGhee of A.P.M. Images, Bebe Ziegler of the Bebe Z brand, Ivanka Ska who owns the St. Petersburg boutique “House of Ska” and Tampa’s own Rhonda Shear who will show off her line of lingerie, shapewear and intimates. There will be after-show parties following each of the runway shows (separate tickets required.) On Saturday, the event producers are planning an invitation-only “Fashion Social” for all the participants and VIP clients.

“Dolce Vita” was chosen by Fashion Week organizers because it provides a retreat for the media representatives covering the event. Also, the yacht is a perfect location for nautically-oriented fashion shoots, VIP client hospitality and video productions. Fashion photographers, videographers and designers will love the open deck spaces, the yacht’s classic design and the sense of the sea that comes with being onboard.
