The online backgammon room Play65 is warming up the winter with new supernatural tournaments including the longest event in online backgammon history.

Tel Aviv, Israel, September 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The online backgammon room Play65 is getting ready to warm up your winter with blazing tournaments that will keep you entertained at home while it is raining outside.

Starting with the launch of the first Backgammon Supernatural Weekend on September 19th, 2009 with two days of magical tournaments including Pro Gammon, the longest match in online backgammon, offering €1,000 guaranteed prize (which can grow depending on the number of contestants) and a marathon of backgammon tournaments with total prize of €2,750.

Supernatural Weekend of Backgammon Tournaments
Play65 is continuing to establish its position as the pros' money backgammon site. After opening a special game room for the highest ranked giants in the field and cleaning the platform from the unwelcomed presence of backgammon bots, Play65 is now challenging its members with a 5-point backgammon match, followed by a 7-point final, held for the first time on Saturday, September 19th 18:00 with 100 championship level players, and planned to be an ongoing tradition throughout the whole winter.

Pro Gammon is the opening event for the Supernatural Weekend, which continued on 20:00 PM with the Exciting Saturday, a weekly €750 prize tourney and one of the highly attended tournaments in online backgammon. The Supernatural Weekend was on Sunday 17:00 GMT with three successive Play65 tournaments with progressive prizes; the first event in the marathon, scheduled to 17:00, offers €250 in cash prizes, while its proceeder takes place on 19:00, doubling the prize to €500. The Supernatural Weekend closes on Sunday 21:00 PM with a €2,000 backgammon tournament.

About Play65 Backgammon Tournaments & Matches
Play65 has been the largest backgammon room online since its launch in 2004. The download backgammon software allows its players to choose from three different types of games: single (money) games, that are played and scored individually, series of games (match play), where the two players race for an agreed sum of points, and tournaments, in which 4-64 players compete against each other in various formats. For the first time in online backgammon, Play65 is hosting 5/7-points tournaments, to ensure that the best player of all the contestants goes home with the grand prize.
