Suntec Concrete Inc. Establishes Two $500 Scholarships to Promote Careers in Construction

Suntec Concrete Inc. established two $500 scholarships to be awarded to students pursuing a career in construction at Phoenix College.

Phoenix, AZ, September 24, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Suntec Concrete Inc. established two $500 scholarships to be awarded to students pursuing a career in construction at Phoenix College.

The scholarships will be available for students to receive in Spring 2010. Students eligible to receive this award must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or one year construction experience and must be pursuing a career in construction.
Suntec Construction chose to establish the scholarship at Phoenix College due to their close ties and allegiance with the institution.

“Suntec values the education of our employees and hopes to provide two young students with the extra push needed to help them in their pursuit of an education. So many of our employee’s take classes at the Phoenix College, we thought it would be a great way to say thanks,” said Jerry Barnier, President of Suntec Concrete.

All students interested in applying for the Scholarship should contact Frank Luna at (602) 285-7667, or apply online at phoenixcollege.edu/scholarships and complete the “Scholarship Manager” application by October 15, 2009. The students chosen to receive the scholarship will be notified of their achievements by December 2009.
