Gerald Dickens is an actor and producer hailing from Oxford, England. In his version of A Christmas Carol, he depicts 26 characters of his great-great grandfather’s story with the aid of a table, wing chair and a hat rack. In the New York City performances, he will transform The Park’s gothic sanctuary into scenes straight out of the classic holiday tale.

Charles Dickens first toured the U.S. in 1867, reading his literary works before spellbound audiences. Gerald began his own performances of A Christmas Carol in 1993 on the 150th anniversary of its publication, and has been delighting audiences around the world with his rendition ever since.

This is Mr. Dickens’ only New York stop on a tour that will take him from New England to the Mid-Atlantic for the first time since 2005. A Christmas Carol is produced by Byers' Choice Ltd., of Chalfont, Penn., makers of the nationally-known Carolers® and Kindles® figurines.
