Artspace to Offer College Prep Courses for Students Planning to Major in Fine Arts
Raleigh, NC, September 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Mary Poole, executive director of Artspace (www.artspacenc.org), has announced that the art center will offer college prep courses Sept. 22-Dec. 8 for college-bound students wishing to major in fine arts. The courses will be held from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. Tuesday evenings throughout the fall semester.
Tuition is $145 ($135 for members) per semester. Students will learn how to build a portfolio showing a specific body of art work. Special attention will be given to the presentation of their work for the portfolio, including a constructive and thorough critique process. At the end of the series, students will have several finished projects suitable for their portfolios, and will have the tools to continue adding to their best examples.
