ESTsoft Donates ALTools Utility to Developing Countries

Overseas Volunteers Gains More PC Tools from ESTsoft to Teach Youths in Developing Countries.

Seoul, Korea, South, October 01, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ESTsoft, a software company providing zip and unzip program ALZip, has donated 1,500 copies of ALTools Utility to Korea Internet Volunteers (KIV) to let people in developing countries use PC utilities for free.

KIV is a world-wide cooperative activity supported by the National Information Society Agency (NIA) to shorten the technological gap between developed countries and developing countries by dispatching volunteers to teach computing knowledge such as using office tools and internet. Volunteers are dispatched to 41 different countries annually, and about 400 volunteers have been dispatched to 18 countries – Vietnam, Brazil, Morocco, Uzbekistan and so on - this year.

ESTsoft has been making donation to KIV since 2007. The donation this time amounts almost $75,000. “It’s not a big deal. Our contribution is small.” said Sangwon Jung, director of ALTools Division of ESTsoft. “We wanted to contribute to people around the world who barely earn for their livings. Now because ALTools is making some profits, we can help them.”

ESTsoft is a South Korea based company produces zip and unzip program ALZip, picture viewer ALSee, music player ALSong, antivirus program ALYac and some other software. ALTools is an indication for all ESTsoft’s products, and ALTools Utility is an all-in-one package of ALTools. These names may sound unfamiliar, but most of them are top ranking software in South Korea.

ALTools English version has been released since 2005. The products’ main concept is to make it easy to use and giving customers the best service. “We know there are lots of competitors in the global environment.” Mr. Jung added, “Though, we have already succeeded once in Korea, and we will do it again in the world.”
