R&D Tax Credit Seminar to Help Businesses Recover Money

Tech Collective and TMG Consulting Group event will explore R&D tax credit program, how to take advantage and its impact on business.

Providence, RI, October 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Tech Collective, Rhode Island’s Information Technology and Bioscience Industry Association, is partnering with TMG Consulting Group to provide a how-to R&D tax credit seminar. Open to all businesses and industries, the seminar will be held on October 29, 2009 from 8:00 – 10:30 am at the Providence Marriot Hotel on Orms Street.

The seminar will provide specifics of the R&D tax credit program and help attendees understand how they can use the program to reduce their Federal and State tax liabilities, preserve cash flow and increase the asset value of their company. TMG Consulting Group will outline the types of R&D costs and activities that are eligible, provide an overview of the recent changes to the tax code and explain the potential impact on a business’s bottom line.

TMG will also be on hand to answer attendee questions. CEOs, CFOs and Research and Development Executives across all industries are encouraged to attend.

“Oftentimes companies do not even realize they qualify for deduction and reimbursement programs such as the R&D tax credit program,” said Kathie Shields, Executive Director of Tech Collective. “TMG reports that 62% of companies who are eligible for R&D tax credits to not take advantage of them. That is a huge disadvantage, especially in our current economic state. Tech Collective is proud to partner with TMG and offer all Rhode Island businesses an extra hand retaining their cash flow and weathering the economic storm.”

“Taking advantage of what is available in the R & D Tax Incentive Program can predict a company’s future,” said Paul Boutin, CEO, TMG Consulting Group. “Creating cash flow, maintaining employment and allowing companies to continue to innovate are critical tools for success in today’s economy.”

A buffet breakfast will be served during networking time before the event. The cost to attend is $45.00 for Tech Collective Members and $65.00 for non-members. For more information and to register, please visit www.tech-collective.org.
