Diamond Awards GMS Two Accommodation Projects

Houston, TX, October 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Global Maritime Solutions is pleased to announce that Diamond Offshore Drilling has awarded two accommodation projects for the Ocean Star and Ocean Baroness rigs this week.

GMS has been contracted to engineer and supply three ABS approved A-60 fire rated stackable modules to increase the Ocean Star berthing capacity by 16, along with a recreation area. These modules will be built to the latest IMO SOLAS standards and will be delivered in the next 6 weeks for installation onto the rig. GMS is also pleased to announce they have been awarded the quarters interior repair and refurbishment project for the Ocean Baroness which will commence in two weeks. GMS will be refurbishing the existing quarters facilities on-site offshore Gulf of Mexico will perform the three month work scope while the rig is in operation.
