"Our goal is for all women, regardless of age, to pursue an active lifestyle.”

Minneapolis, MN, October 10, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The winter of 2008-09 offered an awesome new combination for women snowboarders and skiers--great snow in many parts of the country and the launch of RosaSnow.com. This online snowboard and ski shop focuses on the winter outdoor needs of women and girls. Rosa Snow founder Missy Killian had noticed that in spite of the increased number of women on the slopes, female snowboarders still often “had to sacrifice fit and style in apparel because of limited options in their local area. Her vision was to put all the great women’s specific gear in one spot so riders and skiers can have access to it all and shop from anywhere they may live.

Experiences in the first full year of operation were encouraging. As the store’s primary buyer, Missy’s many years of experience as a skier and snowboarder, combined with her dead-on sense of fashion, enabled her to showcase apparel and gear that offer the latest styles and color waves. She selected clothing and accessories from top brands like Nikita, Betty Rides, Sessions, 686, Bonfire, Dakine, and Von Zipper. With our economy, it is important to find the appropriate blend of style, quality and price. The women at Rosa Snow spend hours at trade shows, reviewing trade publications and catalogs, and talking to women and girls on the slopes to provide a "one stop shop" to give women functional and stylish options in retail, and in turn, more time to hit the slopes and participate in snowboarding and other outdoor activities.

Part of the success of Rosa Snow is the versatility of the products on the website. Many of their jackets, hoodies, graphic t-shirts and sweaters transition easily from the ski slopes to the streets. “Our headquarters are in Minneapolis so we have plenty of opportunity to wear our apparel. Even girls who don’t snowboard or ski love the style and fit of our jackets, pants and hoodies.” As a women-only winter wear shop, the women at Rosa Snow are totally committed to providing unique and functional apparel and accessories for the active outdoor woman. Coming this season, Rosa Snow is carrying several new product lines including Neff hats, Holden outerwear and Skullcandy headphones.

As visitors to the website discovered, Rosa Snow is all about promoting women's participation in winter activities and getting outdoors! “We had several mothers interested in finding girls snowboarding gear so this year we added 686 and Bonfire winter apparel for youth girls. Our goal is for all women, regardless of age, to pursue an active lifestyle.”

The women of Rosa Snow (viewed at “About Us” on the website) strongly believe that all women snowboarders and skiers should support each other on and off the slopes. They pay special attention to eco- and animal-friendly products, women's issues, and companies and organizations that share this philosophy. An entire section of the website is devoted to eco-friendly women's apparel and gear from brands like Arbor and Holden. Further evidence of their philosophy is the great Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) clothing and accessories on Rosa Snow. A portion of these select items is donated to the fight against breast cancer.

”Being able to express yourself and feel comfortable makes you confident and therefor a better rider.” RosaSnow.com plans to continue with their winning formula of style, quality, function and fun for many more seasons.
