Josh Higgins Receives National Recognition for Hurricane Relief Poster

Miriello Grafico’s designer, Josh Higgins, wins multiple creative awards for Hurricane Relief Poster design. Josh's poster is part of a national project to help raise hurricane relief funds for the Red Cross.

San Diego, CA, September 26, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Miriello Grafico Inc. (MGI), a graphic design and strategic marketing firm specializing in business communications, announced that one of its designers, Josh Higgins, has won multiple awards and national recognition for his Hurricane Relief Poster.

Josh’s poster design has been awarded placement in the Communication Arts Design Annual, Print Magazine Design Annual, and How Self-Promotion Annual.  The poster was also featured on the cover of the Baton-Rouge Independent for their Katrina anniversary issue, in the September 2006 issue of CMYK Magazine, and is on display at an exhibition in the Louisiana Old State Capital Senate chamber which runs through October.

“I was contacted by a fellow creative, Leif Steiner, who explained he was putting together a poster project to raise money for hurricane relief,” explained Josh Higgins, Miriello Grafico designer.  “The idea was to have designers and artists from around the world design a poster depicting their feelings about the events following the hurricanes that swept through the south in late 2005. Leif went on to explain he would then build a website that the posters would be sold on with all profits going to the American Red Cross.  I thought it was a great idea and was inspired to participate.”
