"Chase N’ Essence" & "All 4 Charity" the Plight of Dating and Relationships in the New Millennium

Two one-act plays by Jenifer Singleton explore the plight of dating and relationships in the new millennium.

Santa Moncia, CA, October 19, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The plight of dating and relationships in the new millennium is examined in two one-act plays by Jenifer Singleton. “Chase n’ Essence” explores the issues that lie at the core of a couple’s on again/off again love affair as their friends weigh in with their own points of view. “All 4 Charity” introduces four friends: Crystal, Jai, Delilah and Renate, who learn the shocking truth about their relationships in a tale of Internet love gone awry.

Written and directed by author, poet and playwrightJenifer Singleton. In L.A. she most recently wrote and directed the critically acclaimed production“The Apartment,” at The Cast Theatre (Backstage West Critic’s Pick). Produced by Me&Mo Productions. Featuring a talented cast with extensive stage and screen credits:

Millena Gay (off-Broadway Pygmalion and A Class Act, and Monsieur Felix Fox Fly - which later went on to a Northeastern regional tour. Film and television credits include NY Undercover, USA Live, General Hospital, All My Children Devil’s Advocate and Sunday School Musical, Now You Have Jazz, The Two-Time and Romeo’s Diary);

Darwin Harris (The Upper Room, The Apartment, Dreamgirls, Ugly and the Chicago and Calgary productions of The Buddy Holly Story. Film and television credits include Mr. Deeds, The Boston Strangler, Home Alone 3, Brat 2, Lost, Cold Case and The Riches. He is one of the leads in the TV pilot Men, Interrupted);

Jennifer Ivy (has appeared in several independent film productions and on stage in numerous roles. Performing credits include White Oleander, Co-Workers and Speed Dating Viral Spot);

Sara Beth Lane (Singin’ in the Rain, Guys & Dolls, Camelot, Boston’s University’s Pal Joey, West Side Story, Oh Kay!, Dreamgirls and Sophisticated Ladies. Television credits include As The World Turns, All My Children, Bold and the Beautiful, and Law and Order);

Monique Mannen (Legends, The Apartment. For Colored Girls. Film and television credits include Florida Lady, (Europe), The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Mad About You, All of Us, Coming to America, The Five Heartbeats and Three of Hearts);

Philip Matthew McCann (originally from Dublin, Ireland and currently residing in Los Angeles McCann has extensive experience on stage in Europe “working on Irish works to Shakespearian mammoths of emotion”);

Marissa Merrill (The Miracle Worker, The Wizard of Oz, West Side Story. Films include Men, Interrupted, A New Day, Human, End, The Symphony, and Photographic); and Jamal Cohen.
