Popular Colorado Restaurant Chain Hatches in Dallas: The Egg & I Opens Its First Metroplex Location in North Dallas

Dallas, TX, October 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The Egg & I restaurants recently hatched its first location at 15203 Knoll Trail Drive in North Dallas, off Arapaho Road. The popular breakfast chain is prized for its flavored coffees, and homemade, high-quality breakfast and lunch menu.

The launch of the first Egg & I restaurant in Dallas is a family affair with Rob and Rose Colarossi, and their son Ryan, working closely together. According to Ryan Colarossi, who serves as managing partner and supervises the restaurant’s daily operations the family plans to add additional restaurants as the economy improves.

“Fortunately for us, this is the right time to be opening a family-focused, back-to-basics restaurant. Even as the economy improves, we believe consumers are going to have a simpler focus, and that will impact their dining choices as well. Our customers tell us time and time again that they feel very comfortable dining here alone or with their entire family. We also have a strong catering business” Ryan adds.

The Egg & I has earned a cult-like following and many “best breakfast” and “best lunch” awards in the cities where it operates. Ryan Colarossi believes the signature menu items and made-from-scratch recipes are the reason. The best-selling items from the menu include:

- The Innovative Hiker’s Eggs Benedict which features diced ham, asparagus, portabella mushrooms and tomatoes, all served with a dill hollandaise sauce.
- Fresh wraps and homemade soups such as tomato herb
- Generous homemade 10-inch whole wheat pancakes that overlap the plate
- The Egg & I’s renowned coffee (whole bean or ground) is available for purchase, as well as their popular “The Egg & I-Yi-Yi!!! Sizzlin Hot! Jalapeño Pepper Sauce” which retails for $2.99.
- And, kid-friendly meals where every item is made into a funny face.

“Just like the TV show ‘Cheers’, we know our customers by name, as well as their favorite menu items. When they walk out our door, our goal is for them to have an ‘eggceptional’ day.” Ryan says.

The restaurant also offers:
- free Wi-Fi
- a large private meeting room with a built-in projection screen for meetings and presentations
- an outdoor patio
- a pancake birthday party package for children
- and, Senior Tuesdays which offers a 20-percent discount to seniors 55 years and older.
