American Puppet Company to Perform at Festival in Iran
Cleveland, OH, October 29, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Natural Bridges Puppet Production Company from Cleveland, Ohio is proud to announce that they have been chosen to perform their comedy show “NBTV PRESENTS” Nutty & Friends at the 11th Iran International Student Puppet Theatre Festival in Tehran, Iran from November 28 to December 05, 2009.
“NBTV PRESENTS” Nutty & Friends is a 30-minute, live-stage show starring the NB Puppets and some humans, and features ventriloquism, puppetry, comedy, music, dancing, and lots of audience participation. In addition, the NBTV Team will also be conducting a workshop about mouth-style puppetry and ventriloquism. The NBTV Team is made up of people from different ethnicity, backgrounds, cultures and beliefs, and is comprised of Kirk Maynard, President & CEO, Russ Durr, Cortez Jenkins, Rebecca Lipson, and Rodger Russ.
Natural Bridges PPC, a company based out of Parma Heights, Ohio is honored to be among the few, if any, puppet companies from the United States to ever be chosen to perform in Iran, and believe that this is a great opportunity to help ease tensions between the two countries. This will be the first time that the company has ever performed in Iran. This is a great opportunity not only for Natural Bridges PPC, but for the City of Parma Heights, the City of Cleveland, the State of Ohio, and the United States, and Natural Bridges PPC is hoping to change their status from unofficial goodwill ambassadors to official goodwill ambassadors.
Natural Bridges PPC is seeking corporate sponsorships for the tour to help cover some of the costs for flying the NBTV Team to the festival and back. All expenses of local hospitality, accommodations, food and local transportation will be borne by the festival.
