Television Personality Katie Brown Discusses a Perfectly Imperfect Thanksgiving in November Issue of Guideposts Magazine

Host of PBS’ Katie Brown Workshop Almost Flunks Audition as Daughter in Law

Carmel, NY, October 30, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Katie Brown, the laid-back lifestyle expert and host of her own TV show Katie Brown Workshop on PBS, graces the cover of the November issue of Guideposts magazine (www.Guideposts.com), where she recalls her first Thanksgiving as a daughter-in-law and how that holiday was almost ruined.

In “My Perfectly Imperfect Thanksgiving Dinner,” now available to Guideposts subscribers and online, Brown described her first Thanksgiving as a wife and mother and the anticipation and trepidation she felt about hosting the first holiday dinner for her in-laws. Although a mishap occurred in the kitchen, Brown now realizes that what matters most about Thanksgiving is the pure essence of the holiday.

Other stories found within the November issue of Guideposts magazine include:

* Perry Perkins of Wilsonville, OR on making his ailing mom’s wish come true in “Beam Me Up, Captain Kirk!”
* Amanda Rigell of Johnson City, TN on recording family history on the National Day of Listening in “Grandma’s Stories”
* Marion Bond West of Watkinsville, GA on an old dog, a homeless man and a renewed faith in “A Dog Named Cheeseburger”
