The International Water Conference® Has Bucked the Economic Trend

Pittsburgh, PA, October 31, 2009 --(PR.com)-- The International Water Conference® (IWC) has bucked the economic trend. While other major conferences have reported a drop off of attendance of 25 to 40%, this year’s conference was held in Orlando, Florida for the second time, and the turnout slightly exceeded the previous Orlando visit.

With over 540 attendees and more than 50 exhibiting companies, the 70th annual conference was a huge success. Attendees came from 39 States in the U.S., and 19 different countries, making it truly International.

This past year’s conference attendance was 10% below the previous high set last year in San Antonio, Texas, but still well above prior years. It was the second highest attendance number in the “modern day” IWC.

The 2010 IWC will be held in San Antonio, Texas from October 24th through October 28th. They expect a record turnout in 2010.

Abstracts are now being accepted for the 2010 conference at the International Water Conference Website: www.eswp.com/water.
