Grandstaff Appears on Grand Ole Opry

Grandstaff appeared on Opry stage as part of a Second Generation Show in tribute to their fathers Harold and Don Reid of the Statler Brothers.

Nashville, TN, November 02, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Grandstaff (http://grandstaff.net), a duo comprised of cousins Wil and Langdon Reid, performed on the Grand Ole Opry on Thursday, October 29, 2009. The 7 pm CDT show, broadcast live on WSM 650 AM (http://wsmonline.com) and Sirius satellite radio (http://www.sirius.com/theroadhouse) featured first generation artist’s songs performed by second generation artists in tribute to their legendary parents. Wil and Langdon are sons of Harold and Don Reid, respectively, of the Statler Brothers.

Grandstaff’s current single, “The Statler Brothers Song,” was written to surprise their dads prior to their induction first into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and then the Country Music Hall of Fame. “We were blown away by it,” says Statler and proud pop Harold Reid. “It’s everything a tribute song should be,” adds Don Reid. The song is available on the current Grandstaff CD and DVD release titled Live and Well on Yell Records, distributed in the US by E1 Entertainment Distribution.

“The Statler Brothers Song” is also included on an infomercial hosted by Wil and Langdon promoting The Statler Bros. Random Memories, a book of random memories by Harold and Don Reid (http://randommemories.tv).
