Tuscany Bistro to Host a Benefit for Domestic Violence Victims

Dining for a Cause, Tuscany Bistro of Tappan NY is donating a portion of proceeds on December 3 to a very worthy program at NY Presbyterian Hospital, D.O.V.E.

New York, NY, November 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Tappan N.Y.- Tuscany Bistro www.tuscanybistrony.com announces Dining For D.O.V.E., a fashion and fundraising event taking place on Thursday December 3, 2009 from 5PM to 10 PM. Take part in the ultimate experience in upscale casual dining and entertainment with a fixed menu priced at $25.00 which includes appetizer, entree and dessert. Proceeds will be donated to NY Presbyterian Hospital’s D.O.V.E. program, (Domestic and Other Violent Emergencies.)

Planned is an elegant evening of fashion and dining featuring fashions shown throughout the night modeled by students and women of Bergen County who have volunteered their time and talent to help raise funds for a most noble cause, the D.O.V.E. program at NY Presbyterian Hospital. D.O.V.E is a hospital sponsored program that provides comfort and advice to victims of rape and domestic violence when those victims are admitted to NY Presbyterian’s emergency room. D.O.V.E. is staffed primarily by trained volunteer advocates who are usually the first friendly voices heard by such victims.

A new startup boutique, Milano Gowns and Dresses of Westwood, NJ, is donating designer fashions for the fundraiser. Milano Gowns and Dresses opens for business November 16 and is located at 288 3rd Ave in Westwood, (Phone 201-383-0970).

Tuscany Bistro executive chef and owner Valter Cianni presents fresh, irresistible Northern and Southern Italian home style cuisine. Valter began his culinary training at a very early age, learning his craft from his family of restaurateurs in Siena, Italy while working in the kitchens of their family run restaurants. “Good food starts with good ingredients.
