Big Daddy Graham and Bill Haley’s Comets to Entertain in Dover This Month

Dover, DE, November 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Fire & Ice at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino is set to rock around the clock with the legendary Bill Haley’s Comets on Saturday, November 14 for two performances at 9:15 and 11:15 p.m. On Saturday, November 21, Philly comedian and radio personality, Big Daddy Graham will appear for one show only beginning at 9 p.m.

In the 1950s, Bill Haley and his Comets were a smash sensation when “Rock Around The Clock” was featured in the teen movie “Blackboard Jungle,” catapulting the song to No. 1. The Comets themselves starred in two of the first ever movies about the rock music revolution titled “Rock Around The Clock” and “Don’t Knock the Rock.” The Comets received huge career resurgence in the 1970s when their music was featured prominently in the hit movie “American Graffiti” and the hugely popular TV show “Happy Days.”

In the 21st Century, Bill Haley’s Comets are fronted by longtime Comet and lead vocalist Lenny Longo and feature the same high energy and raucous rockabilly sound for which the band has always been famous.

Radio personality Big Daddy Graham is currently in his twelfth year as a host of the No. 1 sports talk radio station in America, WIP in Philadelphia. He is also a well known comic and has been a staple in clubs like the Comedy Cabaret, Catch a Rising Star, the Funny Bone, Helium and the Comedy Factory. The hit comedy show Two Funny Philly Guys, starring Graham and Joe Conklin, has played sold out houses in such venues as the Borgata Music Box and the Broadway Theater in Pitman.

Graham has appeared on the Showtime Comedy Club Network, and his “Let’s Call in Sick” and “Action News Theme” have aired on MTV and PRISM. He’s been voted Philly’s Funniest Comic eleven times by Philly Magazine, The City Paper and other publications.

Tickets for the Big Daddy Graham comedy show on November 21 are $20 and may be purchased at the door on show night. A $10 cover will be charged at the door for Bill Haley’s Comets on November 14.
