David Derr Serves as Creative Director for Off Broadway Hit Show
David Derr of D2 Studios will serve as creative director for the highly anticipated Off Broadway play, “Santa Claus is Coming Out.” He has created all graphic marketing materials including the show logo, print and Internet advertising images, postcards, and the overall concept for the production’s marketing campaign.
Dover, NJ, November 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- David Derr of D2 Studios will serve as creative director for the highly anticipated Off Broadway play, “Santa Claus is Coming Out.” The witty satirical production covers the “worldwide scandal” that occurs when Kris Kringle tries to reconcile his love relationship with Italian toy maker Giovanni Geppetto with his passion for giving to the world's children.
Mr. Derr is entrusted with the task of coordinating all marketing elements seen by the public, that they contain a coherent message and convey a dynamic show image. He has created all graphic marketing materials including the show logo, print and Internet advertising images, postcards, and the overall concept for the production’s marketing campaign.
“Santa Claus is Coming Out” opens a limited engagement on November 29, 2009 at The Kirk Theater @ Theater Row in New York City and runs through December 20. The play stars Jeffrey Solomon and is directed by Joe Brancato. It is a production of Diverse City Theater Company, Penguin Rep Theatre, and Shotgun Productions.
Mr. Derr has won numerous awards including: the Adobe Digital Imaging Competition, Int'l. Digital Mural Competition and NY Art Director's Club. His works have been featured in Gallery and Studio Magazine, Photoshop User, and Digital Fine Arts Magazine as well as numerous online exhibitions and websites. He studied at The Art Students League in New York City.
