Tek-Tools Closes Third Quarter 2009 Strong

Tek-Tools Software, a leading provider of IT infrastructure and data center management software solutions, today announced that it closed the third quarter 2009 with an increase in revenue of 78 percent over the same quarter of the previous year, its best third quarter in the history of the company.

Dallas, TX, November 12, 2009 --(PR.com)-- As the need for comprehensive management of physical and virtualized IT resources becomes more and more apparent to enterprises large and small, Tek-Tools is meeting a multitude of customer demands with its modular solution. The Profiler Suite provides a single console from which both physical and virtualized servers, storage, back up and applications can managed. Users can start with one module or many, but all provide visibility into ever-changing IT infrastructure; visibility that allows for more cost effective management of IT resources. Many customers started with just a single module or two earlier this year. In Q3, their expanding installations of the Profiler Suite accounts for an increase of 110 percent in new business revenue. Direct sales revenue increased 108 percent while partner revenue rose 62 percent over Q3 2008.

Other highlights in the quarter include:

-Tek-Tools launched a pre-release copy of its newest offering, vProfiler, from VMworld in September. Based on its proven enterprise virtualization management solution, Profiler for VMware, vProfiler is an extremely simple, easy-to-use, and powerful analysis, reporting, and monitoring tool designed specifically for early stage virtualization environments.

-Along with the launch of vProfiler, Tek-Tools established the vProfiler User’s Forum, an online forum for virtualization administrators to exchange information and share knowledge about virtualization management challenges and solutions.

-Building on its continued relationship with LSI, Tek-Tools announced that its storage resource management software, Storage Profiler, integrates with LSI Engenio storage systems to provide in-depth monitoring and reports. By integrating Storage Profiler with Engenio storage systems, Tek-Tools and LSI have created a solution that enables users to easily obtain in-depth performance and capacity utilization information on their Engenio storage systems from the same management console that monitors and serves up in-depth reports on every component of the IT infrastructure.

-Tek-Tools was honored with a 2009 Dallas Business Journal Best Places to Work Award in September.

“This has been the best third quarter in Tek-Tools history and I have to believe it’s due to a combination of the market need, our solid product offering and superior customer service,” said Tek-Tools President and CEO Ken Barth. “Despite the economy, or maybe even because of it, enterprises large and small are looking for solutions to make the most of their IT infrastructures. Cost effective management requires visibility and visibility is what Profiler delivers. And, we’ve got good, hard-working people here striving every day to continually develop our offerings to keep pace with changing infrastructures and to provide top notch customer service. I couldn’t be more proud of our performance this quarter.”
